Falcon Softball | Sports | June 2014

I happen to be a huge fan of Black and White Images. Last year, towards the end of Softball season, I was asked by the gentleman in the first picture to come take photos of our unit team playing, which I was more then happy too. It's kind of what got me into Sports photography.

This gentleman was part of our unit and also serves as a referee for the base's softball tournaments. He was checking the bat of one of the guys on the team because in Germany there are specific rules you have to follow.

CW4 McCutcheon Farewell | Military Event | Dec 2014

Hello dear friends!

I was honored once again to be asked to photograph an event within my unit. My LTC asked me if I would take pictures of CW4 McCutcheon's Farewell Awards and his last flight. I of course said I would be there, camera in hand. We are very sad to have to say goodbye to a fantastic Airfield manager and a good warrant officer.

One of the coolest parts of this whole thing was when the COL of the battalion that we fall under handed CW4 his retirement flag.

Part of Aviation tradition is that upon retirement, the pilot conducts one last flight. Upon completion of the flight, they are then hosed down with a hose from a fire truck by a family member.

The tradition in Aviation is once you either retire or reach a certain amount of flight hours, you get hosed by a fire truck.

At least half of the Falcon team came out to watch and support CW4 McCutcheon during his last flight and his farewell. We're just one big happy family

This is everyone that participated in the Retirement Ceremony/ Last Flight for CW4 McCutcheon.

I was asked to take a picture with two extra cameras so someone too a picture on their cellphone of me wearing all three camera.
A fun behind the scenes shot someone took with me holding my camera, and two cameras from two separate ladies who also wanted group photos.

It was my honor and privilege to get to photograph these moments for him and his family. We're sad to be saying goodbye to such a great man, warrant officer, pilot, and trainer. He will be missed. Good luck in your future endeavors sir!

JC Softball Practice | Sports | Feb 2015

One of my old coworkers is very big into softball, and the season is coming up where we're stationed.  So he asked me to come take pictures of him one weekend while I was at Mo's house, for which I was thrilled.

There were three people there practicing, so I took photos of each of them.

This was the closest that I came to capturing the moment that the bat and the ball connected.

This gentleman also serves as the pitcher for the Bavarian Team.

Not only is this gentleman good at swinging a bat, he is also a great pitcher

This is my old coworker, JC. I was happy to photograph this practice session. At the same time Mo was taking video of the session with the GoPro I got him for Christmas.

It's always fun when friends and coworkers ask me to take pictures for them. Especially since in Germany there are a lot of steps for American's to take to own their own home based business, and since I am a Service Member, I have to have special permission from my bosses. I don't get to take a lot of non-military related pictures right now, so this was fun for me.

Until next time!

SGT Marzolf Reenlistment | Military Event | Nov '14

So I joined my unit in March of 2014, over a year ago now, and something that I quickly became known for was being a photographer. The higher ups in my units love to have me bring my camera to unit events to take pictures, and everyone has accepted that once they receive something and shake hands with the LTC, that they must then face me and smile for a few moments.

Before a end of rotation BBQ we were having, I was asked to photograph the reenlistment of an NCO in my unit, for which I was beyond happy for!

One of my favorite things is being able to photograph the things my unit does because I love photography and I love the military. If I had known there was a job in the Army doing this before I took ATC, I would have jumped on that job like there was no tomorrow!!!

Congratulations SGT Marzolf, I am sure that you will do great things in the years to come!

After the ceremony, everyone was headed inside to get ready for the BBQ and awards ceremony and I turned to ask SGT Marzolf something and saw them folding up the flag that was used. The gentleman in the middle is the Reenlistment NCO and he was instruction the NCO to his right how to properly fold the flag!

It's always an honor to be asked to photograph events such as this for my unit. I love capturing these memories for them and I am thrilled to add these images to my portfolio!

Hello friends

Hello dear friends and HAPPY EASTER!

Gosh, it's already Easter. This holiday last year was much later in the month and a lot of wonderful things happened to me personally in that time frame. It's always interesting to look back.

Today is being spent working on my brand and hanging out with my favorite guy Mo. If you read my personal blog The Diary of A Dreamer, then you know who Mo is, he's pretty common over there. He had surgery on Thursday and while he is doing a lot better, we're just taking it easy and being lazy.

Things to look forward to in this here area of the interwebs:

** Changes to this blog colors, layout, header, and signature
** Updated galleries
** Changes to the website layout and colors
** new header on all social media
** more use of my Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook page
** Newsletter being developed
** Better idea of my pricing
** New client guides
** More behind the scenes posts and photos
** I can be found at Bloglovin' Now as well!

Please be patient with me
I love everyone's love and support!
